Departures is unique movie, at least to me. So, there's this guy, Daigo who lost his job as a cello player when his orchestra team disbanded. And he was left with a huge debt for buying the cello. In order to lose the debt, he had to give up the cello and move back to his village hometown together with his wife, Mika.

Back in the small village, he accidently landed on a peculiar job as someone who helped to cleanse and organize funerals. This scene down here, like...OMG so damn funny!!! I really banged on the table when I saw this scene. Totally unexpected and out of nowhere he came out wearing that adult diaper!!!

But oh he has a nice body build xD

And this old guy here is the one who owned that company. The job pays well though, and since he couldn't find other jobs, he stayed with it, without telling his wife. Until she found the tape recording where the demonstration was done, his cover was blown.

Mika was upset, having found out that her husband, once a cello player had to resort to a job like this. Handling dead people. It was too much for her to bear and when Daigo refused to give up the job, she left the village.

As usual, I won't reveal the ending. But oh this movie's really really interesting, especially when they showed you the techniques on how to handle the dead, how to cleanse them, and like dressing them up, facial make up and all, I'm impressed by their skills when they dress them up. Turning their bodies around, without even revealing anything.

It's pretty lengthy but worth watching. And funny as hell too, so don't miss this one out if you have a chance!
