Ethan and Grace (Joaquin and Jennifer) are a happy couple with two children, a boy and a girl. Living in a small town, their lives are pretty normal, until their young son was killed in a hit and run accident. The driver is Dwight (Mark) who was driving his son back to his ex-wife after running late from a baseball game. And his impatient ex-wife wasn't really helping much in the case either.

I think the most depressing scene from this movie was when they were dealing with the death. It's really sad to think that someone close to you was smiling happily for a second, then the next minute, they can just be gone like a snap.

Joaquin, as a Dad is the first I've seen him acting as. Well, then again, I dont follow his movies much. But i think he pulled this character of really well and convincing as a loving dad and husband, trying to keep the family from breaking apart, protective, caring, and at some point felt the need to defend for his innocent son's sudden death by some irresponsible reckless driver.

The point where he snapped and pulled a gun to threaten Dwight was like..."wow". Imagine going to a lawyer who tried to act all innocent, pulling two faced character on you, and then he turned out to be the one who took your beloved away.

But it's not all just about the family's grief, we were also shown how Dwight tried to deal with the case, feeling guilty yet couldn't find the right courage to give himself to the police.

Great acting from both Joaquin and Jennifer, Mark following behind. It's good. I shall keep the ending to myself. ^^
