Okay, so we have episode 3----> taking off from the latest murder in episode 2, where Rieko, Yukihira's school mate was murdered this time. she was the " loved one" mentioned in the latest installment of the novel.

As we would have expected, Yukihira just stared at the process of the autopsy while Ando, her assistant couldn't bear it haha xD
Later on, Ando was told by this guy, a police officer that has worked with Yukihira's late father, who was also a cop but was killed in an operation, that Yukihira, ever since the death of her father, she'd been strong willed to bring justice and would not tolerate any crime. Ando now understands the reason for her steel-like character.

Now, this reminds me of...you know the movie Angelina Jolie starred in, err...what was it called again? oh, Taking Lives. Yes, apparently in that movie she got cuddly with the murderer right? Well, is it that female cops always FALL for the ASSASSIN? Seriously...
Anyway, she suspected this editor right from the start but i guess she was intrigued by his calm composure and just heartless characteristic, i mean, he's so COLD and BLANK when he speaks. and the thing is, Yukihira is similar to him. So i suppose that's why she's attracted to him.

and so it's NO SURPRISE of what comes after that. she got drunk, well a bit i suppose but that's enough to cause someone's mind go loose at times. So yeah, they had a one night stand.
And few days after, we have Yukihara's ex-hubby calling her desperately claiming that their daughter is nowhere to be found. and the next victim as described in the novel was " a weak person". and kid fits just right to that description.
and we have this scene where their daughter was brought to a building's rooftop, facing Tokyo Tower. Now at this point, we're NOT ENTIRELY sure that the next victim is her or not because the murderer didn't mention WHO when he made a call to the police department, challenging them. He said that he shall commit the murder in a rooftop facing Tokyo Tower, at sunset.
