Just basically what i'm doing with Zettai Kareshi...captions..xD

Baically, we see Michiru (lead character) is now pregnant, living by herself in some fishing village as she narrates to Ruka, (later on we find out that Ruka's her best friend from school). We see her browsing through pictures.
And mentioning something about death and an incident. So there's the initial suspense as we wonder who died and what actually happened.
After the opening, we were brought back to the past where she's working in a salon as a trainee, and we're revealed to her boyfriend, Sousuke (Ryo Nishikido).
From episode1, we're shown that Michiru's family background is not good. Her mother's a drunkard, smokes and having guys staying over. With this, we see why Michiru became who she is, dependent and longing for someone to love her.

We see a glimpse of Sousuke at work...

When Michiru was shopping for her move to Sousuke's apartment, we were then introduced to Ruka's character. Her first appearance somehow gave me both amusement and creeps. And i still hate the background music they used for that particular scene. It's creepy. But there's a need for it becoz Ruka is a lot more complex than we thought, which we shall see later on.
Then, we got too Takeru's appearance.

we see Ruka chasing Michiru...
Aftr meeting up after 4 years of separation, these two good friends sit at the park, which becomes a prominent setting for this series later on, and take notice of Ruka's glance. See...i told you.
Takeru's job as a make-up artist and by night, a bartender tells us quite a lot of her character. I find this drama interesting becoz we get to see different characters and from their daily lives, we get to know them more.He then met Ruka again.
After that we see Ruka doing motocross, and we're exposed to hints of her problem in this short scene.

And we get to see another character, Eri who works as a stewardess.
turns out both Ruka and Eri are housemates.
Michiru as we can see are bullied even at work.

Ah, the happy couple..then.
It was jolly and gay until we see first hints of Sousuke's domestic violence signs...and it's pretty interesting how he is feeling insecure just after reading Ruka's message to Michiru.

After being hit by Sousuke, Michiru seeks comfort.
At the sharehouse, the next morning....we were again given hints on Ruka's complexity when she gave Michiru a kiss AFTER seeing her tears falling while she was sleeping. I don't really know what prompted her to do that but i guess it's just a natural instinct for Ruka, as she does show in previous scenes how much she cared for Michiru. *are we sensing some lesbianism from her?*

Now, later on...in the next few episodes, we'll see that it's NOT actually lesbianism. In other words, her character is diagnosed with GID, Gender Identity Disorder. I shall explain further in the next posts.
The other series where GID issue was discussed was in 3 nen 3 gumi Kinpaichi sensei where Aya Ueto took the role of a student with GID. *thanks to ^^yuuki from d-addicts for this piece of info*

Overall: I really really liked the first episode coz it's where we were introduced to these characters and we see how they meet for the first time, how their lives are then connected to each other. A great introduction. I really love some of the scenes in this episode.
